I just learned the art of saying NO to those things I know I can’t finish on time. Like friends who wants a couture beach cover-ups, Graduation Gowns, accessories, etc. I’d rather say no and keep the friendship than say yes and not deliver on time and hurt their feelings. =) Such a great post!

Time is essential in everything people do. Time wasted couldn’t be regained. Time is more essential. I remember an often-quoted phrase: “Time is precious. Time is gold.” How to interpret it: Don’t waste time for non-essential job!

I admire Randy Pausch and his ideals in life and I was saddened when i learned about his fight against deadly cancer which is also the reason of his demise. His final lecture on OPRAH made me cry.

This is akin to what I have been teaching my staff when I was still in a GOCC. Overtime work does not show how efficient you are; it only shows:

    a. you do not know what you’re doing
    b. you have bad time management skills
    c. worse, all of the above.

Be it medical, technology, mathematical, or engineering, you have to manage your time wisely to be productive. Every thing that would define your future positively needs a slice of your time.
